Everything else in the wizard — template, audience, variables — is the same for all three. See Broadcasts for those steps.
There is no separate “Campaigns” page. Scheduled broadcasts live in the Scheduled tab of WhatsApp → Broadcasts, and repeating ones in the Repeating tab. The old Campaigns address opens the Repeating tab.
Schedule once
Choose Schedule, then fill in:
The time must be at least 2 minutes from now and no more than a year ahead. Below the fields, the page repeats the send time and how long until then.
Who gets it
The audience is worked out again when the broadcast goes out, not only when you schedule it:- People who match the audience by then are included — for example, contacts tagged after you scheduled.
- People who opt out in the meantime are skipped.
- The count on the review step is today’s count, labelled Would reach today.
An Upload CSV audience is the exception. The list is saved when you schedule, and those exact numbers are sent at the scheduled time.
The Scheduled tab
WhatsApp → Broadcasts → Scheduled lists every broadcast waiting for its time, soonest first.
The row menu offers:
- Send now — sends it immediately instead of at its time.
- Duplicate — opens the wizard with the same template, audience and values.
- Cancel — it will not be sent. It moves to History with the status Cancelled, and nothing reaches anyone.
When the time comes
Watx checks for due broadcasts every minute, so a broadcast goes out within about a minute of its time. It then moves to History and follows the usual statuses: Queued, Sending, Sent.Repeat
Choose Repeat, then set the schedule:
The page sums the schedule up in a sentence — for example “Every Monday and Thursday at 9:00 AM, 4 sends in total” — and lists the next three send times.
The time is local to the zone you pick. “9:00 AM New York” stays at 9:00 AM in New York when the clocks change.
What each send is
Every time a repeating broadcast runs, Watx creates a new broadcast in History:- It is named after the repeating broadcast, followed by the date of the send.
- It has its own report, recipient list and follow-up buttons.
- It shows a repeat icon, and the line Repeats · Weekly offers under its name.
- The audience is worked out fresh each time, with opted-out contacts skipped.
- It counts against your plan’s monthly broadcast and message limits like any other broadcast.
The Repeating tab
WhatsApp → Broadcasts → Repeating lists every repeating broadcast.
When a send fails, the row shows Last send failed with the reason until a later send succeeds.
The row menu offers:
- View sends — opens History filtered to this repeating broadcast. Remove the filter from the chip above the list.
- Pause — no sends until you resume.
- Resume — continues from the next matching time after now. Sends that fell while it was paused are not sent. If its end date has already passed, it becomes Finished.
- Stop for good — it will never send again. This cannot be undone.
- Delete — removes the repeating broadcast. Sends it already made stay in History.
What is checked when a send goes out
A scheduled broadcast and every repeating send are checked again at send time. If a check fails, nothing is sent to anyone, and the broadcast shows Failed with one of these reasons:
The plan is checked when you schedule as an early warning, and again when the broadcast goes out. Usage is only counted when it actually goes out.
Who can do what
Members with the Agent role or above can schedule, repeat, send early, cancel, pause, resume, stop and delete. Viewers can see every tab but cannot change anything. A scheduled or repeating broadcast sends on behalf of the member who set it up. If that member later loses the right to send, its sends fail with the reason above.Related
