Browsing
The left rail groups starters by what they are for, not by Meta’s Marketing/Utility split, because that is the question you are actually asking:
Chips above the grid narrow by type: Text only, Text header, Image, File, Video, Location, Carousel.
Each card shows the starter’s Meta category, its type and its body. Preview opens it full-size with its sample values and a phone mock-up. Use loads it into the editor — nothing reaches Meta until you review it and submit.
Two labels are worth knowing:
- Needs your media — an image, video, file or carousel starter arrives with its media slot empty, because Watx cannot ship your pictures. Add your own before submitting.
- Already in your account — a template of that name already exists here, in any status, so the card is disabled. Edit the existing one from the template list instead.
Submitting a whole collection
Select a collection and its header offers Submit all N to Meta (or, for E-commerce, Submit the store bundle). The dialog lists every template in the pack with a preview, lets you untick any you do not want, and picks the language they are submitted in — English (US), English (UK) or English. Templates you already have are unticked by default but still listed, because re-submitting is a legitimate way to reset a rejected one. They go to Meta one at a time, and each row reports its own outcome. Meta allows 100 template creations an hour; if it refuses part-way, the run stops with that message rather than repeating it for every remaining row, and the rest can be sent later.Starters that need your own media are left out of a pack — they cannot be submitted blind. Add those one at a time.
The store bundle
The E-commerce pack is the set the store console is built around: eight templates, each with a placeholder map the console reads back so the mapping is pre-filled when you pick one.
The two cart reminders are filed as Marketing and carry an opt-out footer; the rest are Utility, because they are about an order the customer already placed.
If you edit a bundle template’s wording and the placeholders stay where they were, the mapping still pre-fills. Reorder them and the console gives you an empty mapping form rather than guessing.
